14 Day Tanzania Lodging Safari plus Zanzibar and Culture Tours

Day 1: (December 20th, 2024) Pickup from the airport –Arusha

Upon arrival on the first day, you will be picked up from Kilimanjaro airport (JRO) and driven to Arusha town, where you spend your first night. Dinner and overnight will be at Arusha Mvuli Hotel.

Day 2: (December 21st): Maasai Culture Tour

Arusha to Maasai Village for a full day Maasai culture tour. For more information about Maasai tour and activities, please open the attached Maasai Culture Tour file at the end of this email. We will return to mvuli hotel in Arusha for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 (December 22nd, 2024) Arusah to Tarangire National Park

The following day, you will be picked up from your hotel and drive  to Tarangire National Park. Today you will do morning and afternoon game drive in Tarangire National Park, in the evening you will drive to Ngorongoro farm house in Karatu town. Dinner and overnight will be spent at Ngorongoro Farm house.

Day 4: (December 23rd, 2024) From Farm house to Ngorongoro Conservation Area for 6 hours game drive

After breakfast from the lodge we will travel to Ngorongoro Crater for 6 hour game drive followed by picnic lunch inside the crater. Thereafter, we will then proceeding to Ndutu at Lake Maseki tented camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: (December 24th , 2024)Morning game drive in Ndutu area to Center Serengeti

Today morning after breakfast you will have morning game drive in ndutu area search for wildebeest migration. The annual wildebeest migration in Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park and Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve is one of the most spectacular wildlife events on the planet. Sometimes referred to as the ‘Greatest Show on Earth’, The Great Wildebeest Migration is a movement of approximately 1.5 million wildebeest throughout the Serengeti and Masai Mara ecosystems. 400,000 zebra and 200,000 gazelles accompany them along the way, making a total of over 2 million migrating.
From as early as December the Migration starts to move into the Ndutu region of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area southern Serengeti plane. The short grass plains here are rich in nutritious grasses, providing the herds with the best conditions to raise their newborn. Mid February is calving season when approximately 8,000 wildebeest are born every day for a period of approximately 3 weeks. The area around Lake Ndutu itself is the place to be at this time of the year. Dinner and overnight will be at Serengeti Kati Kati Tented Camp.

Day 6: (December 25th, 2024) Full day game drive in Center National Park

Today you will be spent a full day game drive in the biggest national park in Tanzania, Serengeti National Park. one day will be spent here, so you can have time to explore at leisure and have the opportunity to admire the diverse wildlife during game drives. This is the first of two nights you will be spending here. Dinner and overnight will be spent at Serengeti Kati Kati Tented Camp.

Day 7: (December 26th, 2024) Morning game drive in Serengeti National Park to Tloma lodge in Karatu Town

Today morning after late breakfast your professional driver guide will take you for morning game drive in Serengeti national Park, you will return to the camp for hot lunch after lunch you will depart to Karatu town with game drive on the way. Dinner and overnight will be spent at Tloma Lodge.

Day 8: (December 27th, 20124) From Karatu town to Lake Manyara morning and afternoon game drive/ Arusha for overnight

We will drive into Lake Manyara National Park for a full day game drive and lunch, classic safari picnic, and enjoy our final glimpse of the great wilds of the Northern Tanzania. Lake Manyara offers an insight into the Great Rift Valley system and the adaptation of many hard animals and magnificent bird-life. In the late afternoon, we zig zag our way up and drive back to Arusha for dinner and overnight at Mvuli Hotel

Day 9: (December 28th, 2024) From Arusha to Marangu for a day trip

At the foot of Kilimanjaro lie the beautiful towns of Marangu and Mamba. Here, depicting mountain village life. Enjoy the panoramic scenes of and natural beauty of Kilimanjaro, within 3 km of each other and the participating lodges in the area have worked together to establish activities for their visitors. Magnificent views of valleys and waterfalls offer great entertainment for nature lovers and birdwatchers. With more than seven waterfalls in the vicinity one can spend a whole day enjoying the picture postcard views. Walking tours will provide excellent views overlooking the area including points where the lights of Nairobi can be seen at night.

Tours activities can include:

• Guided tours leading to panoramic viewpoints ideal for photography of waterfalls and Mount Kilimanjaro.
• A chance to pass historical sites from clan wars and ancient legends including large hiding caves used during the Chagga – Maasai wars. Later evening, we will drive to Moshi for dinner and overnight at Keys Hotel.

Day 10: (December 29th, 2024) From Moshi to Zanzibar:

After breakfast travel by road to Kilimanjaro airport or Arusha airport for your transfer to Zanzibar. On arrival at the Int Airport in Zanzibar, you will meet one of Open Africa Safaris' representative. He or she will then escort you to the vehicle and road transfer to your beach cottage in north cost at Mnarani beach cottage in Nungwi. Meal Plan: Breakfast, drinking water in your hotel room might be provided.

Day 11: ( December 30th,  Zanzibar Island Beach Leisure )

On this day, you can do as many activities as you wish in Nungwi area. Enjoy your beach leisure at your beach resort, Boat ride at Indian Ocean Island, Scuba diving, and Snorkeling. These activities are optional with extra costs.
At the end of this enjoyment day in Nungwi beach area, you will then return to Armani-Beach-Cottages for Dinner and overnight.

Today we will drive you to Stone town for multiple tour and activities. The tours will include, Slave market tour, Spice tour, and Prison Island tour. These activities are optional with extra costs. Lunch will be served in Stone town.

Day 14th: (January 2nd): Stontown to Zanzibar Airport:

In the evening you will be dropped-off at Zanzibar international airport for your connection flight back home.

End of the Tour!

This price does not include any flight ticket, or Zanzibar activities, but the price will include all airport pick up and drop off, as well as 2 nights accommodation in Zanzibar. Since you are so nice, we have also decided to offer you a free town tour before, or after your safari trip. The Tour will include Maasai Market, where you can find hundreds of gift shops and hand made products made by Maasai women! 
This price will also include the Maasai culture day trip package that is attached below. I have also attached some photos of some of our Maasai cultural tours.
