5 Days Selous and Ruaha National Parks Safari

Visit the two largest and most popular parks in Southern Tanzania on this special 5-day safari starting in Dar es salaam and ending in Dar es Salaam. Start at the Ruaha National Park in the hazy blue hills of the central/southern highlands. Here you will spy colorful migrating birds, impressive herds of elephants and hippo, plus lion prides hunting along the Great Ruaha river and the Mzombe Rivers that border the park. Then Drive to the expansive 21,000 square Selous Game Reserve. 

Day 1: Dar es Salaam to Ruaha National Park

You will be picked up from Changani Beach Cottages in Dar es Salaam to start your trip to Ruaha national park. Upon arrival, settle into your own private "Banda" or rock chalet at the Ruaha River Lodge. There will be time to experience your first game drive on this day. Game drives are done in unique open vehicles that allow for 360 viewing of the area's impressive wildlife.
During your stay, be sure to visit the elevated bar and watch spectacular sunset over the the river below. Fall asleep with the fresh night air gently blowing through the screened windows and perhaps even wake to an elephant outside your door the next morning.

Day 2: Ruaha, morning and afternoon game drive safari activities

Enjoy more of Ruaha with morning and afternoon safari activities. You will get an opportunity to see different kind of animals within the RuahaNational Park. After our game drive, we will then drive back to Ruaha River Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Ruaha drive to Selous, afternoon game drive

Today, we will drive from Ruaha to Selous, arriving in time for an afternoon game drive in Selous. We will do game drive for hours and you will get to see all what Selous game reserve have to offer before returning to our Lodging:
Dinner and overnight at Rufiji River Camp.

Day 4: Selous, morning and afternoon game drive safari activities

Today you will mot only experience safari game drive, but also different activities, such boat safaris, and nature guided walks. Experience more of Selous, enjoying morning and afternoon game drive safari activities (boat safaris, Nature guided walks Dinner and overnight at Rufiji River Camp.

Day 5: Drive from Selous to Dar es Salaam

Depart Selous to Dar es Salaam by road. All road transfers are included in the fees. You can extend your trip to Zanzibar as well as at the hotel in Dar es salaam or Zanzibar, or connect you for your transfer back home. However, the transfer to Zanzibar can be arrange by Open Africa Safari if needed. 
The price for the above entire 5 day package is based on adult who is over 16 years old. 
Please note that hotel accommodation before and after safari trip is not included in the above price, but it can be arranged by lionking Safaris for an additional cost.
