5 DAYS UGANDA GORILLA SAFARI

Summary of the trip: the 5 day trip brings you the Uganda Gorilla safari; expect to see the most interesting animals of the savannahs: buffalo, giraffe, hippo, and leopard and gorillas 
The safari brings you to famous national parks of Western Uganda:  Lake Mburo National and Park, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Day 1:  Entebbe – Airport Transfer    

On your arrival at Entebbe International Airport in Uganda you will be welcomed by our representative and transferred you for overnight stay 
Distance: 10km (15 minutes’ drive)
Medium accommodation: Boma Entebbe / Karibu (BB)
High accommodation: No 5 Boutique Hotel / Marriott Entebbe (BB)

Day 2: - Kampala– Bwindi Impenetrable National Park  

After your breakfast, depart to Bwindi Impenetrable. National Park, on our way we pass the equator, famous for photos and experiment. Today transfer will depend on the location of the gorilla permits and road conditions. Accommodation will depend on the group of gorillas you will be tracking 

Distance:  550 km (Buhoma- Ruhija-   NKuringo ) about 10 hours’ drive.

High accommodation: / Mahogany spring / Buhoma lodge/ Leisure Gorilla (FB)
Top end accommodation:  Gorilla Forest Camp/ Cloud lodge (on request)

Day 3: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park  

Today, the activity starts at 8am and you will follow the ranger guides in a group of maximum 8 people as you search for the habituated family of mountain gorillas, which was allocated according to the permits. Bwindi forest in Uganda has a population of about 370 gorillas, which is half the world population according to 2007 gorilla population surveys. It is not predictable the time you will spend to encounter the gorillas.

Day 4: Bwindi National Park - Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast, proceed to Lake Mburo National Park, the smallest of Ugandan National Parks. As you enter, go for game drive in search for animal like impalas, zebras, elands and many other antelopes. 

Distance:  260 km (about 5hours)
Medium accommodation: Rwackobo Rock /Eagle Nest (FB)
High accommodation: Mihingo lodge / Kigambira Lodge   (FB)

Day 5: Lake Mburo National Park – Entebbe

Today, early morning game walk to get face to face with animal or horseback in the morning, after your lunch and return to Kampala or Entebbe with stopover at Equator for photo and experiment. Depending on your flight schedule, transfer to Entebbe for your departure flight. 

Distance:  350 km (about 5hours)
