UGANDA SAFARI 18 DAY

Summary of the trip: Pearl of Uganda 18 days takes you to the source of the Nile; discover the best of Uganda being gifted by nature, from the culture sites, hospitality of the people found nowhere, primates, wildlife, physical land forms, all these have been taken into consideration on the mentioned number of days around Uganda, discover Uganda and you will discover the Pearl of Africa.

Day 1: Entebbe – Airport transfer

Welcome to Uganda, you will be picked by our guide from Entebbe International Airport for accommodation in Entebbe  
Distance: 10 km (15 Minutes’ drive)

Day 2: City tour of Kampala

Enjoy the city tours of Kampala with a visit to some of the major tourism attraction within the city, aiming at cultural, religious and historical sits among others.

High accommodation: Serena Lake Victoria / Commonwealth Resort (BB)

Day 3: Kampala – Jinja

After your breakfast, proceed to the source of the Nile , with optional visit at Ssezibwa Falls cultural site, Mabira forest  for a tropical rain forest walk to arrive Jinja. Dinner and overnight at your hotel/lodge. 
Distance:  80 km (about 2 hours)

Day 4: Source of the River Nile- Mt Elgon National Park

After your breakfast at the source of the River Nile, for the water lover and adventure, you can enjoy the safest while water rafting on the Victoria Nile and later proceed to Elgon national park for dinner and overnight either at / or any hotel of choice (FB)

Day 5 : Mt Elgon National Park- Lira Town

Today, having a wonderful time at the foot of the Mt. Elgon, proceed for your morning Sipi Falls hiking and afternoon, on the way, visit the Nyero Rock painting and admire the plan of the eastern land of the country. Dinner and overnight at your hotel

Day 6: Lira Town- Murchison Falls National Park

After your wonderful time in the former president Dr.Milton Obote homeland, leave for Murchison Falls National Park, visit Karuma Falls  and proceed for an evening game drive Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 7: Murchison Falls National Park

Today, experience the morning game drive in these savannah national park  and expect some of the animals like elephants, buffalos, giraffes, waterbucks, oribis, bushbucks, among other if lucky lions, spotted hyenas and leopards. In the afternoon, take a 3 hours boat cruise on Victoria Nile to the base of the Murchison Falls. Expect to encounter some of the animal like hippos, crocodiles, variety of water birds species.

Day 8: Murchison Falls National Park- Kibale National Park

After breakfast have a long drive  to Fort Portal via Western Rift valley escapement through Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom and arrive at the foot of the mountain of the Moon, enjoy the atmosphere of  Fort Portal town. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 9: Cultural tour of Tooro kingdom

Visit Tooro kingdom and beautiful culture of Tooro and later proceed to Kibale National Park for dinner and overnight,

Day 10: Kibale National Park

Today after your very early, depart for Chimpanzee Habituation Experience, this is a lifetime experience that allows accompany Kibale’s researchers and habituation at chimpanzee during their daily activities, thereby getting used to human presence without changing their natural. During your tour, expect coming across the chimps de-nesting (in their nocturnal nests). After your experience, back to the lodge

Day 11: Kibale Forest- Queen Elizabeth National Park (Mweya sector)

Today, we drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park with mysterious view of the mountain of the moon. On our way, we pass on the equator famous for photo.  Optional visit to Katwe the salt or evening game drive. Dinner and overnight

Day 12: Queen Elizabeth National Park (Mweya sector)

Early morning game drives experience in  the national park, with aim of seeing animal like  elephants, buffaloes, spotted hyenas, waterbucks, Ugandan kobs, and if lucky  lion and leopard . In the afternoon, take the most exciting 2 hours boat cruise on Kazinga channel, one of the most popular sites in Uganda for its concentration of wildlife and bird.

Day 13: Queen Elizabeth National Park (Ishasha sector)

After your breakfast, we drive to Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth, famous for tree climbing Lion.  Enjoy the afternoon game drive in search of the tree climbing lions. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 14: Queen Elizabeth National Park (Ishasha sector) - Bwindi

Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park the home of the mountain Gorilla. Accommodation for your overnight will depends on the permit location in Bwindi (FB)
Distance:  90 km to Buhoma sector (about 2hours)/ 180 km to NKuringo sector (about 4hours)

Day 15: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Today, the activity starts at 8am and you will follow the ranger guides in a group of maximum 8 people as you search for the habituated family of mountain gorillas, which was allocated according to the permits. Bwindi forest in Uganda has a population of about 370 gorillas, which is half the world population according to 2007 gorilla population surveys. It is not predictable the time you will spend to encounter the gorillas.

Day 16: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park- Lake Bunyonyi

After your relax breakfast, proceed to Lake Bunyonyi, one of the dippiest lake in Uganda and place for relaxation. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 17: Lake Bunyonyi- Lake Mburo

Today, we drive to Lake Mburo national park with lunch stop on the way and arrive for a 1 hour boat in the afternoon.
Distance:  210 km (about 3hours)

Day 18: Lake Mburo –Kampala or Entebbe

early morning game walk to get face to face with animal or horseback in the morning, after your lunch and return to Kampala or Entebbe with stopover at Equator for photo and experiment. Depending on your flight schedule, transfer to Entebbe for your departure flight. 

Distance:  350 km (about 5hours)
